had a "family" outing to gaby's house again after games day. hoped we sec3s had again, bonded. and for games day. kudos to GROUP4! other groups too. lets hope we did bond and we'll do well next week @ the national band competition.

Anyway , Tianhoe & Melissa just turned 1 year older a few days ago . Happy Belated Birthday ! And on Monday , there was a band outing , but I guess not many turned up , all were sec 3s ! Anyway , more room for improvement for NBC . Don't pon band practice *ahem*

Friday(Actual Performance)
Bus will be leaving at 230pm.
Muslim students please try to rush back by 230pm.
Report at 2pm to load instruments.
We will warm up when we reach there.
Dinner will be provided and you will have your dinner from 6pm-7pm.
Please get ready your attire and settle down by 7pm.
Please do not be late as we do not want to drag the concert, remember,
we are invited to perform!
The performance will start at 730pm.
We will reach school latest by 930pm.

Please make sure you remember to bring your school tie!
And return all reply slips tomorrow.
Those who did not receive the information form, please collect from
Caiyan or Zhihui tomorrow and hand it in on Friday(7/3).

Things to bring for performance:
1) Water bottle(don't want you to dehydrate!)
2) Instrument, files, stands
3) Oil
4) Warm ups & Beyond
5) School Tie!
6) Some food to eat, but not sure of you are allowed to eat on the bus!
7) Polishing Cloth?

Next, we will be having our election of the next Committee on Friday(7/3).

Hey guys!

Urgent notice!

Please do not wear school uniform for tomorrow's practice because we will be
having some games in the morning.
You can wear PE/Band Tee.

Please make sure you guys have a copy of practice schedule & information
form for Gaia Mania(Tanjong Pagar) performance.
Those who do not have the forms please collect them from Zhihui.
Latest date of submission for information form is next Tuesday(4/3).

There'll be meeting with Brayton for all Sec 3 band members tomorrow(1/3) after band.

And I know today's practice was very boring and tiring, but the reason so was
because we did not play The Incredibles up to Mr Yeo's expectations.
So he had to focus section by section during combine.
Remember we only went through Heal the World once?

And we really need to start working hard now to achieve what we want.
I believe you guys should know whether we deserve the Silver standard now,
considering the fact that others bands are improving.
So I do not want to say any further as I know you guys are matured enough to
think about it.

Urgent update for practice dates!

All Sec 2 band members, there'll be practice tomorrow (21/2) from 0230-0430.
Miss Leong will be coming down to help you guys.
Attendance is compulsory.

And please report at 730 am on Friday(22/2).
You guys will be excused from activities.
Excuse slips will be given to your teachers.
Performance will start around 10 plus.
Ms Chen will be around to help you guys.

Attendance is compulsory.
Record will not be reflected on CCA record if you are absent.

And, Chen hua and Rebekah will be in-charge of these two practices.
Please practice hard for this performance as only the Sec 2s will be performing.

Hello!

Just to remind you guys about tomorrow's performance.
Reporting time: 0640 am

Set up your instruments and gather at Canteen by 0650 am
Then we'll start our warm-up and tuning.
If time allows, we shall run through the performance:)

Remember first row, you have to split into 2 groups, 6 to the left, 6 to the right.
Sweets will be given to you guys before performance!
Remember to collect them from Cai Yan or Zhi Hui.

Remember, when walking up the stage, hold your instruments with pride!
Do not sit down until Mr Yeo comes on stage and signal!
Sit with good posture!

A few things for good performance! :

1) Confidence!
2) Good posture!
3) Shiny instruments!
4) No emptying of saliva in front of audience!
5) No talking on stage!

Lastly, PLEASE ENJOY YOURSELVES!!

Hey guys, I'm here to tell you about tomorrow's practice.

Everyone will gather outside M-Learning Lab by 3pm.
*note that gathering venue is not canteen, so no excuses for latecomers*

Your Sec Ones will also be there with you guys.
Please don't scare them, and I think I'm nice:D

After that, Tianhoe will be taking attendance for Main Band, and
Chen hua for Junior Band.

Then Mr Yeo and Miss Leong will give you guys instructions from there.
Do not set up your instruments yet.
And if you guys have to move from one destination to another,
please do not take your own sweet time as we really want to learn as much as
we can and bear in mind that Mr Yeo talked to us about this problem
last Friday!

Also, there will be games and activities on this coming Friday(1/2) at
130pm at basketball court.
Attendance for Sec 1s are compulsory.
Main band, if you want to join us for the game, you're very welcomed!
Please note that you have to be in your PE attire!
We do not want to get scolded by Mr Ong and give him bad impression k!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZZATI!

Hi cuties:D

Here to remind you guys about a few things yeah.
Like what Mr Yeo said today, please think and reflect on what you want
to achieve and why you are in band. I think these two questions
are enough to let you realise what your goal is and what you want
to do in your secondary life.

And today, movement from Canteen to AVA Room was slow, I
hope that in future we can respond faster and we can learn more!

Ok, for those who have not paid for Anglican High's Concert, please
do so by next Tuesday.

Please bring along your POP scores as we are practicing it tomorrow.

There'll be practical test tomorrow for those who have not taken it yet.

Clarinet section to move benches tomorrow. Tuba & Euphonium section to
help percussion section with their instruments. Please report

Lastly, things went quite well for Tanjong Pagar YEC upcoming performance.
Yup, so the performance is somehow confirmed and I hope all of

Just a few things to note:

1) For those Sec 2s who have not taken your practical test,
it will be tomorrow during band pract.
2) Please note down what Mr Yeo and Miss Leong has said about
the pieces we have played(the incredibles, habitat)
3) Please respect the conductor or whoever is standing in front.
4) Those going for Anglican High Band Concert please bring your

5) Saxophone & French horn sections in charge of moving benches tomorrow.

Hello!

It's been a while since Mr Yeo and Miss Leong took over
and became our conductors.
So let's welcome them to our band!

Let's work together with them, and hope that we can
all achieve what we want at the end of the day.
Be it Gold for coming SYF, Gold for National Band Competition
or a good concert!
I'm sure that with our hard work put in, we can be the best of the best!

Coming up soon will be the Chinese New Year celebration performance.
I hope that all of you will give your friends and teachers a good performance
and impress them! And to add-on to the festive mood, would you all like
to wear red t-shirt? Haha, or maybe cheongsam xD
Well, or maybe you want to wear section shirts.
All ideas are greatly welcomed and please post them on the guestbook!

And, please suggest some ideas which would make band practices more
interesting for all of you! Because we definitely don't want a dead&boring band.
And when the Sec 1s come in, I hope that they will be committed and willing
to work hard together with all of you.

So everyone, please put in the right attitude during band practices because
you won't want them to follow the bad example.
